Cash Drawer Overview

To get to the cash drawer feature, click the more button at the top of the software and then select the drawer option. There will be 4 tabs in the upper right hand corner. Cash Drawer Balances, Petty Cash, Cash Drops, and Settings. Before your run your first cash drawer balance, set up your Cash Drawer settings.

Setting up your Cash Drawer

  1. Click on the Settings tab.

  2. If your starting cash drawer balance should always be set to the amount of money that was in your cash drawer when the balance was last ran, then turn on the first option on the settings screen.

  3. If your starting cash drawer balance for the day should always be a set number, then type that number into the second option on the settings screen.

  4. Decide if you want to include booth renter transactions in your cash drawer.

  5. Check the Currency Denominations box to make sure the dollar bills and coins you use are included in the cash drawer report.

  6. Click Save.


​Currency Denominations

The Currency Denominations section is where you set your currency type and decide what bills and coins to include when running a cash drawer balance. For example, some businesses do not use pennies. You would remove the option for pennies in this screen.

Running a Cash Drawer Balance

  1. Click the more button at the top of your software, then select Drawer. This will bring you right to the cash drawer balances tab.

  2. Click the plus button in the lower right hand corner of the screen. The name of the employee logged in and the date will be auto populated. Select whether this cash drawer report is being ran for the whole day (All Day) or a specific time range (Custom Time). You have the option to leave a comment. Put the number of dollar bills and coins in the count section. Make sure the counted cash total is the same number you came up with when you counted up the bills.

  3. Scroll down and make sure the starting balance in the reported total is correct. The status section will let you know if the drawer is balanced or not. If the drawer is under or over, it will show you here how big the difference is.

  4. The very bottom of the cash drawer balance screen will give you the non-cash totals for your day.

  5. Click Save or Save and Print.

Using the Petty Cash feature

You can add or remove money from the drawer with this feature. An example reason for taking money would be to buy supplies from a store for your business. An example reason for adding money would be if your change for cash transactions is low.

  1. Click the more button at the top of your software, then select Drawer.

  2. In the upper right area of the screen, select the Petty Cash tab. Click the plus button in the lower right hand corner.

  3. The name of the employee who is logged in, the date, and the time will auto populate. Select a category, add an amount, add a comment, and select if the cash if going into the drawer or coming out of the drawer.

  4. Click Save.


​Using the Cash Drops feature

Use this feature if you are taking cash from the drawer to drop off at the bank.

  1. Click the more button at the top of your software, then select Drawer.

  2. In the upper right area of the screen, select the Cash Drop tab. Click the plus button in the lower right hand corner.

  3. The name of the employee that is logged in will auto populate. Put in the amount of cash or check being dropped off at the bank.

  4. Click Save.
